I was approached by a member of the entertainments team at the Gulliver's Land Theme Park in Milton Keynes to create a logo for their new scare maze. It had to communicate the scary nature of the maze whilst fitting the setting and standing out on its own. I chose to take on a painted look for this project, with a gloomy sky backdrop in green and blue hues behind the foliage-like text.
My contact from the park then cut the letters out onto board and mounted them onto a painted version of the background, creating the attraction's entrance sign.
For the 2020 season, I evolved this concept with a new animated teaser which uses the painted aesthetic and a shifting perspective to create an abstract version of the eponymous forest.
