Uni & COLLEGE Work

LSBU 2015-2018, NESCOT 2013-2015

During my final semester at Uni, I was asked to prototype two projects before choosing one to move into full production with.  The project I chose was a full rebrand of local theme park Thorpe Park, including designs for two rides, which can be found in my concept art gallery.  The final project was presented in a PDF Pitch Bible, which can be seen here.
Also in my last year, I worked on a final dissertation, consisting of a 5000-word essay accompanied by three short video collages, all of which use Eurovision as a frame through which to examine the relationship between international politics and mass media such as music or live television.
The project focuses on the history of two countries in the contest: Yugoslavia and Ukraine; and how their entries have been reflective of the political climate both at home and in Europe as a whole. The research paper can be viewed here, and the videos can be watched to the right.
During my second year at uni, I worked on a variety of briefs, including a video project that involved editing to music.  I chose to take a surreal approach involving photos of nature that I altered to take on a bizarre and unnatural appearance.  The video was set to the classical piece Hall of the Mountain King and took advantage of its strong build and climax.
Taken from my first year at University, here you can see a collection of pieces I've created through the Processing coding language:
Before Uni, I studied Game Design at College. During my second and final year, I created a 2D physics-based puzzle game focused on the reflection of light from surface to surface.  The game was made in Construct 2, using the program's visual coding and physics systems.
